Happy Thanksgiving fellow phillumenists! We are kicking off our city matchbook list drops with the one and only city in the world — our beloved New York City, the place that inspired us to give birth to our lifestyle and home decor brand & community centered around the hobby of matchbook collecting, OH, WHAT A MATCH!
As the majority of me and my mother’s matchbook finds throughout the years have come from New York, what better way to start our newsletter than with a list of restaurants, bars, hotels, and shops in the city where to find matches!
We will be updating this list as we go and make sure to notify you on any latest city additions at the bottom of this post. Keep in mind that there might be businesses from this list that stopped producing and giving out matches to their customers. In that case, we ask you to take this list with a grain of salt and to kindly inform us of any changes that you come across to help us keep our community of fellow collectors up to speed.
When out and about collecting, please make sure to consume—whenever possible—at every one of the locations mentioned below. We cannot make meaningful memories through matchbooks without staying for the amazing food & drinks offered at these establishments!
